Until 2024, a book of cases on one of the most litigated issues in Maine courts, searches and seizures, this book did not exist. Other states, such as Massachusetts, produce such a book routinely. At the suggestion of another attorney to the author (who began reading and collecting cases), this book was created.  It is the book the author wanted on his own bookshelf. So he created it.

Below is a preview of some of the front matter for the new edition of this book, released in October, 2025. It is already a point of reference for defense attorneys, for whom it was written, but also (though not intended), prosecutors and judges.
